Staff will be at the classroom doors from 8:45am to greet the children as they enter school and hang up their coats and their bags. The children will then be able to settle down in class and do a morning challenge ready for the school day to start at 8:55am. Gates and doors will be closed and locked at this time.
School dinners are served between 11:30am and 1:15pm. Lunches are staggered to ensure all children enjoy lunch with their peers.
School closes at three different times to allow parents to collect more than one child from the school building. School closes at the following times:
- Nursery and Reception (EYFS)- 3:20pm
- Years 1 and 2 (KS1)- 3:25pm
- Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (KS2)- 3:30pm
The school week is 32.5hrs staggered
It is important that children are not late to school as it can be upsetting for the child and can affect the running of the lesson.
Children who arrive after 8:55am are late and must report to the school office to be signed in. Please do not knock on the external doors as staff will not be able to open them as teaching and learning has already started.
If your child is going to be absent from school, please phone the school office on 0161 766 6098 and press option 1 to leave a message before 9:00am. Please be aware that if your child has been sick or has had diarrhea, they will need to be off school for 48 hrs after any sickness/diarrhea has passed.
It is important to tell us as soon as possible if someone different will be collecting your child. Please write this in your child’s journal so the teacher can be made aware, or phone the school office on 0161 766 6098 to pass the message on. We will not let a child go home with anyone else unless we have prior notification.
